Banking and the Federal Reserve
The Federal Reserve System, our nation’s most powerful monetary and banking
regulator, is an institution whose operations are unmonitored by Congress and
the American people. The Fed controls the creation of money. Creating money
out of thin air devalues every dollar in our wallets, and is the ultimate cause of
the ever-rising cost of goods and services called “inflation”. Inflation is a
hidden tax that harms all Americans, especially the elderly, the poor, and the
middle class. True capital comes from hard work, savings and investment, not
from a printing press.
